Charlotte L. Brown-Parrott
Author, Creative Digital and Mix Media Artist
Hello, I’m Carlotte L. Brown-Parrott, an award-winning author and emerging artist with a passion for creating digital and mixed media art. Using computers and various materials, I custom design unique and captivating pieces. Whether it’s for personal or professional purposes, I strive to create beautiful presentations that convey positive, thought-provoking, and healing messages to my community.
My artistic journey began with crafting ceramic pieces, which eventually led me to discover graphic design. Along the way, I realized my talent for writing, providing me with an additional platform as a graphic designer.
While I had experience in painting ceramics, I lacked confidence in using traditional brushes on canvas. Instead, I turned to the computer as a tool to express myself artistically. Over time, I noticed that my work fascinated customers and businesses, prompting me to venture into custom designing as a graphic artist. I started creating logos, flyers, book covers, and more for fellow authors, professionals, and organizations.
After gaining years of experience in graphic design, I made the decision to fully embrace my creative side and become a mix media digital artist. It was surprising to realize that my journey from ceramics to graphic design had led me to emerge as an artist. My ultimate goal has always been to create beautiful pieces that uplift people’s spirits. I enjoy exploring new perspectives and encouraging others to think differently.
Through my art, I hope to foster understanding and positivity. Art has the power to make a difference, and I aspire to contribute to a better world through my creations. I want people to recognize the uniqueness and importance of every individual, regardless of their background or appearance.
One aspect of my current artistic practice that I particularly enjoy is working with healing colors as a therapeutic form. Colors have the ability to evoke emotions and promote well-being, and I take great pleasure in harnessing their potential in my art.
To my astonishment, my work has been accepted into four art exhibitions this year. As a self-taught artist, I am constantly seeking opportunities to learn and grow. I occasionally attend workshops to enhance my skills and push myself further.
When you observe my art, I want you to imagine, feel, and contemplate how we can create a happier and more equitable world for everyone. Let’s join forces and use art as a catalyst for change!
